Job Title: Auditor
Job Responsibilities:
The Auditor is responsible for conducting comprehensive audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Key duties include:
- Planning, implementing, and managing small to moderately sized audit investigations in support of litigation, based on discussions with the Trial Staff and COR. This may involve working independently with minimal supervision from a Senior Auditor or other senior audit staff.
- Participating in audit teams for large and complex investigations, working under the guidance of a Senior Auditor to perform specific portions of the audit.
- Analyzing corporate financial and operating statements, records, and other information to achieve the stated objectives of the audit investigation.
- Preparing interim and final oral and written reports to the Trial Staff and COR regarding the progress, status, and results of audit investigations.
- Making recommendations to the Trial Staff and COR based on audit outcomes.
- Providing direction, supervision, and guidance to junior Financial Analysts involved in the same audit investigations.
Education and Experience Information:
- Must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- An MBA or equivalent degree in accounting or a directly related field is required.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS).
- A minimum of three years of experience as an auditor is required.
- At least two years of specialized experience in the specific subject matter area involved, such as Medicare billing and claims systems or Department of Defense (DoD) inventory systems, is necessary.
- Working knowledge of appropriate accounting and financial analysis ADP systems and applications is essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Experience in a litigation environment and familiarity with automated litigation support is helpful.
Salary Information:
- The pay for this position starts at per hour.
- The role is full-time, with an expectation of 40 hours per week.
