In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Director of Compensation & Benefits and focus on day-to-day benefits administration and staff compensation. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in finance, human resources, or benefits/compensation, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment.
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
- Documenting and distributing minutes for Benefits Committee and Pension Committee meetings and keeping notes for other meetings
- Processing benefit vendor invoices and reconciliations
- Assisting with Open Enrollment and annual retirement plans audit
- Maintaining job descriptions and benchmarking jobs against market data to determine competitive compensation ranges
- Supporting the annual compensation review process
- Coordinating the firm's wellness programs

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) and at least two years of experience in finance, human resources, or benefits/compensation. You should also have a general knowledge of law firm operations, policies, and procedures, as well as proficiency in relevant software programs such as Excel.

Please note that the full-time salary range for this role in Chicago is $65,000 to $70,000 annually, based on a 35-hour work week. The salary may vary in other locations based on factors such as education, qualifications, experience, and business needs. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) options.
