Job Title: Litigation Consultant

Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Consultant plays a vital role in providing efficient and insightful substantive input for in-house counsel and external constituents representing national law firms on a wide range of casework. This includes cases that are highly technical, highly emotional, single-party personal injury cases, and complex, multi-party commercial litigation. The consultant also assists in the trial skills training of litigators and supports trial consulting business development. Key responsibilities include:

- Consulting with counsel on case strategy
- Assisting with opening statements and closing arguments
- Designing instruments for pre-trial research
- Conducting mock research projects
- Facilitating small group discussions
- Performing post-trial interviews
- Writing research finding reports
- Creating quantitative data charts following focus group and mock trial research
- Content-analyzing open-ended responses from focus group and mock trial questionnaires and creating charts summarizing the content analysis
- Analyzing quantitative and qualitative data generated from mock trial and focus group research and incorporating them into written research findings
- Designing and drafting survey protocols
- Using both traditional statistical and machine learning methods to analyze aggregated proprietary data and developing content for marketing materials and presentations
- Executing social media analysis of prospective jurors in the jury selection process
- Presenting research findings and recommendations
- Providing jury selection assistance
- Proposing and delivering seminars and training programs
- Assisting in delivering in-house CLE’s and in-house litigation training programs
- Assisting in cultivating existing business
- Conducting witness evaluation and witness preparation sessions
- Performing additional duties and tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the law firm’s overall objectives

Education and Experience:
The role requires a Master’s degree in social science or a similar field, with a . in a social science discipline preferred. Candidates must have proven litigation consulting experience and legal communication training. Essential skills include superior organizational skills, exemplary written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the demonstrated ability to manage a demanding workload while being proficient in setting priorities. The ability to multi-task and meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Extensive travel is required for this position.

Salary Information:
The salary for the Litigation Consultant position varies based on location and is determined by considering the candidate's education, training, experience, and other factors such as external market and internal value, seniority, and merit systems. The salary ranges are as follows:
- Colorado: $163, to $272, annually
- Montana: $155, to $259, annually
- Washington DC: $180, to $300, annually
A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance.
