Title: Closer
Job Responsibilities
The Closer is responsible for managing and conducting in-office closings. Key duties include preparing for and overseeing the closing process, which involves executing closing/lender packages, deeds, settlement statements, and other related documents. The role requires engaging with team members and handling public relations effectively. Specific responsibilities include:
- Reviewing closing documents prior to the closings
- Conducting a final review of title commitments and settlement statements
- Preparing closing files to ensure all lender instructions are followed
- Performing closings in the office
- Coordinating split closings
- Notifying the correct party to release outgoing wires when disbursement is appropriate and submitting funding requirements to lenders as necessary
- Collaborating with Escrow Officers and/or Escrow Assistants to ensure checks received in conjunction with a closing are deposited and receipted on the same day
- Keeping a detailed record of activities within processing software
- Conducting oneself with professional integrity concerning clients, team members, supervisors, and local businesses
- Adhering to company policies and guidelines
- Maintaining knowledge of industry, regulatory, and jurisdictional changes
- Representing the company at appropriate local, state, and national events
- Maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new client relationships
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Education and Experience Information
- A High School diploma is required for this position.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Candidates should have one (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience.
- A Notary Certificate is preferred.

Salary Information
The position offers a base pay starting at per hour. The salary range is fixed at per hour, as estimated by the employer.

Schedule and Work Location
The position is full-time, requiring an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday. The work location is in-person, and candidates must have the ability to commute to or relocate to Memphis, TN 38119 before starting work.
