Job Title: New Business Supervisor
Job Responsibilities:
The New Business Supervisor at the law firm is responsible for overseeing the new business intake process and managing the Conflicts Analysts. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising the conflict checking process for all new clients and matters.
- Reviewing conflicts checks within Intapp Open to ensure timely progress and assisting analysts when needed. The Supervisor often runs conflicts searches actively.
- Tracking and following up on "Rush" conflict requests to ensure timely processing.
- Overseeing and maintaining the new business workflow, which involves moving requests around to workflow participants, ensuring requests progress at an acceptable pace, and declining matters pending too long.
- Helping users utilize the Intapp Open system by providing instructions or demonstrations.
- Managing the NBIG mailbox to ensure timely responses to all inquiries.
- Supervising Conflicts Analysts, providing training on best practices, managing workloads, and tracking PTO to prevent short-staffing in the department.
- Collaborating with the law firm's General Counsel to ensure accuracy in prospective parties and consistency in engagement letters and waiver language with firm policies and procedures.
- Assisting Billing or Accounts Payable with client/matter searches and problem-solving.
The role may evolve with the firm's transition from a decentralized conflicts system to a centralized format, where previous experience in a centralized environment would be valuable.
Education and Experience Information:
- A is required for the position.
- Experience in legal conflict search strategies and evaluation is necessary.
- Proficiency in applications such as Intapp Open, Elite 3E, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the New Business Supervisor position is $95,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience. The position also offers eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
