Job Title: Attorney Recruitment and Development Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and administer attorney recruitment, including collaborating with the law firm’s Recruiting Chair and Committee to determine hiring needs, managing applications, coordinating interview schedules, and drafting offer letters.
- Oversee candidate diligence process and serve as the principal point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment and hiring process.
- Coordinate and administer externships and summer associate programs, developing relationships with law schools and career services, managing the on-campus interview process, and planning law student program events.
- Collaborate with the Recruiting Chair to organize the summer associate program, including work assignments, social events, and professional training.
- Maintain correspondence and recordkeeping of candidates’ information in firm document systems and software.
- Keep apprised of industry trends and best practices, maintain consistency in recruiting policies and procedures, and collect recruiting data for surveys.
- Arrange and participate in Recruiting Committee meetings and coordinate semi-annual associate reviews.
- Coordinate attorney social events, development, and training events with the Mentor Committee Chair.
- Support the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee with projects, sponsorships, and events, and maintain meeting agendas and notes.
- Monitor the attorney recruiting budget, approve recruiting-related expenses, and coordinate orientation and onboarding for new attorneys.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to develop marketing materials for law student recruiting and new attorney hiring.
- Coordinate renewal of attorney bar memberships and track annual attorney CLE hours.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as requested and assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- The role requires a motivated and organized individual with the ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Must be committed to maintaining confidentiality of applicant and sensitive firm information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
