As a Senior Corporate Counsel, you will play a crucial role in the Legal team at Infosys. You will be responsible for building and developing strong relationships with government officials and business associations in Washington DC and other states. You will also work closely with business leaders to align core business priorities with public policy goals and strategies. Your role will involve monitoring political and geopolitical developments, identifying potential engagement opportunities, and advocating for Infosys’ interests on key issues such as immigration, tax, labor, and STEM education.

This position requires a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience in government relations and public policy, preferably in the technology industry. You must have a deep understanding of advocacy and public policy development, as well as the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential for this role, along with a high level of ethical conduct and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and develop relationships with government officials and business associations in Washington DC and other states.
- Collaborate with senior business leaders to align core business priorities with public policy goals and strategies.
- Monitor political and geopolitical developments and identify potential engagement opportunities.
- Advocate for Infosys’ interests on key issues such as immigration, tax, labor, and STEM education.
- Prepare reports and briefings for internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Work with the Government Relations team to develop, maintain, and leverage external relationships to position Infosys as a leading voice on relevant business issues.
- Maintain a high level of ethical conduct and integrity at all times.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve key objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and maintain a global perspective on policy and regulatory implications.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant subject area (Political Science, Public Policy, Business, etc).
- 8+ years of experience in government relations and public policy, preferably in the technology industry.
- Located in the Washington, DC area.
- Understanding of advocacy and public policy development, with an ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Established network with business and trade associations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong influencing and persuading skills.
- High level of ethical conduct and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a large, matrixed environment.
- Self-starter with a track record of developing strategy and achieving key objectives.

- Track record of effectively working with all levels of government and across party lines.
- Deep understanding of immigration law and its impact on global corporations.
- Established network with trade and business associations in the technology industry.

- Excellent judgment and ability to make decisions on complex business and policy issues.
