Job Title: Technology Transactions Junior Associate
Job Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the law firm's global Technology Transactions team, focusing on enterprise technology transactions.
- Engage in strategic information technology and business process outsourcing.
- Draft and negotiate ERP licensing and implementation, Software licensing, and Software as a Service Agreements.
- Handle various commercial transactions and corporate transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, or intellectual property licensing.
- Collaborate with a team of high-caliber professionals to achieve long-term growth and work on exciting and impactful projects.
- Communicate complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders effectively.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates should have 2 to 3 years of experience at a large law firm in technology transactions or relevant corporate transactional matters.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex technology, intellectual property, and data-related commercial contracts.
- Strong understanding of technology, intellectual property, and data privacy laws is necessary.
- Ideal candidates will possess excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail is required.
- An interest in or experience with artificial intelligence and quantum computing is a plus.
- Candidates must reside and be barred in a jurisdiction where the law firm currently has a . office location, ideally barred in Georgia, Illinois, Texas, or Massachusetts.
Salary Information:
- The pay range for this position in Illinois is $235,000 - $260,000 per year.
- Actual compensation will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
- The salary range may not be applicable to other locations.
Additional Information:
