Job Title: Senior Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case investigation, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial matters.
- Draft and review pleadings, discovery documents, subpoenas, motions, and legal correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Manage case files, deadlines, and calendars with a high level of accuracy to meet all procedural and court requirements.
- Coordinate large-scale document reviews and productions, utilizing e-discovery platforms effectively.
- Conduct legal and factual research, summarizing findings for attorney review and case development.
- Organize and prepare exhibits, witness files, deposition summaries, and trial binders for efficient trial preparation.
- Assist with trial logistics and provide in-court support when necessary, ensuring all trial materials and logistics are effectively managed.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties to facilitate case progress and resolution.
- Monitor procedural rules and ensure compliance with court deadlines and requirements to avoid legal penalties and ensure smooth case progression.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting is necessary.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes in Texas state and federal courts is essential.
- Proficiency in legal technology, including document management and e-discovery tools (., Relativity, Westlaw, LexisNexis), is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective case management and client interaction.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple deadlines simultaneously, demonstrating the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in commercial litigation or complex business disputes is preferred, providing an advantage in handling complex case matters.
- Trial support experience is a strong plus, enhancing the ability to assist attorneys effectively during trial proceedings.
Salary Information:
- Competitive compensation ranging from $55, to $75, per year.
