Job Title: Paralegal, S&D IP
Job Responsibilities:
As a Paralegal within the Sales and Distribution Intellectual Property (IP) team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the IP team of the Sales and Distribution business unit. Your main responsibilities will include providing legal assistance and administrative support to ensure the efficient management and protection of the company's intellectual property assets. Specific duties involve:
- Conducting legal research and assisting with the preparation of legal documents related to IP matters.
- Assisting with patent and trademark filings, including drafting and filing applications.
- Managing IP databases and maintaining accurate records of IP assets.
- Facilitating the IP team in various legal and administrative tasks, such as document management and correspondence.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information for IP-related matters.
- Staying updated on IP laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide recommendations to the IP team.
Education and Experience Information:
- Must have a Paralegal certification or equivalent qualification.
- Requires 3+ years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in the field of intellectual property.
- Strong knowledge of IP laws and processes is essential.
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation is required.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills are necessary.
- Familiarity with patent laws and intellectual property management is expected.
Additional valued qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience with patent and trademark filings.
- Familiarity with IP databases and document management systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
