Job Title: Financial Services Sector Content Strategist
Job Responsibilities:
The Financial Services Sector Content Strategist is responsible for supporting the financial services sector lawyers by developing high-quality thought leadership, marketing, and business development content. The role is crucial for enhancing the law firm's visibility, supporting client engagement, and positioning the lawyers as industry leaders. Key responsibilities include:
- Researching, drafting, and editing blog posts, client alerts, and white papers on financial services regulatory updates and industry trends for the Thought Leadership & Blog content.
- Developing brochures, one-pagers, website content, and other marketing materials to highlight the law firm’s sector-specific expertise.
- Managing and overseeing strategy and execution of sector and industry group online presence.
- Coordinating the law firm website representation, social media strategy and content, and firm-sponsored publications, including thought leadership, updates, and announcements.
- Creating and refining content for client pitches, RFPs, and proposals in coordination with the proposal team to support business development efforts.
- Reviewing and approving submissions for legal industry rankings, directories, and awards.
- Monitoring and curating relevant industry news, regulatory developments, and market trends for discussion in sector group meetings in coordination with the competitive intelligence team.
- Interfacing and coordinating with the law firm’s public relations team to build the sector group external image, handle media relations, and respond to inquiries to maintain a positive reputation.
Specific Skills Required:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills, with the ability to translate complex legal and financial topics into clear, engaging content.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, client-facing materials.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Experience with legal marketing, business development, or thought leadership content is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with content management systems and digital marketing tools.
- Thorough understanding of the sector.
- Ability to provide thought leadership and bring insights to firm lawyers regarding sector developments.
- Willingness and commitment to work outside normal business hours as needed.
Education and Experience:
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a preference for those with an advanced degree (MBA, JD, or other relevant graduate degree). Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience with content development, with a preference for those with experience in legal or professional services.
Salary Information:
This position offers an annual discretionary bonus, a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, accrued paid time off starting at 20 days annually, personal medical and parental leave, up to 10 paid holidays, and family care benefits. The compensation range varies by location:
- San Francisco Bay Area: $150,280 to $234,670 annually
- Colorado: $117,740 to $183,860 annually
- Illinois: $124,260 to $194,040 annually
- Los Angeles: $137,120 to $214,110 annually
- San Diego: $135,380 to $211,390 annually
- New York: $136,620 to $213,330 annually
- Washington state: $124,200 to $193,940 annually
- Washington, .: $134,140 to $209,460 annually
