Responsibilities:
- Provide effective, business-focused advice on employment law to internal stakeholders in AMER (primarily North America, Canada, and Mexico)
- Collaborate with colleagues around the world
- Handle contentious employment matters and supervise litigation
- Draft, review, and revise internal processes and policies
- Provide training on employment-related matters
- Work with outside counsel as needed
- Stay updated on relevant laws and industry trends
- Contribute to global and cross-functional projects
Requirements:
- 8+ years experience in a law firm or in-house, preferably with technology companies
- Experience with US employment litigation
- Strong communication skills and team player
- Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally and with diverse perspectives
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ambitious mindset with the ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed
Compensation:
- May vary depending on location
- Estimated annual salary for Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, and Minnesota based hires: $187,000 - $229,000
- Estimated annual salary for New York City, Washington, Washington ., and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: $206,000 - $252,000
- Estimated annual salary for Bay Area based hires: $215,000 - $263,000
