Job Title: IT Support Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first line of defense for hardware, software, and network issues, addressing them via remote tools or on-site at the Las Vegas office.
- Oversee and maintain computers, peripherals, and technical equipment; ensure all returned gear is tested and verified before redeployment.
- Provision and image laptops for new hires using scripts or Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) automations; maintain clear asset documentation.
- Implement and champion basic cybersecurity best practices, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), disk encryption, patch management, and phishing prevention.
- Troubleshoot Software as a Service (SaaS) applications (such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom) and identity integrations (Single Sign-On (SSO), System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM)).
- Write and maintain concise documentation and runbooks to ensure the team does not repeat the same questions.
- Identify recurring pain points and create scripts, automate, or document them to eliminate these issues.
Education and Experience Information:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
- Solid knowledge of Windows and macOS, computer hardware, and core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with at least one Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) platform (such as Intune, JAMF, NinjaOne, Datto).
- Working grasp of basic cybersecurity principles, including least privilege, secure configurations, and Center for Internet Security (CIS) controls.
- Ability to create or modify simple Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical jargon into plain English for non-technical teammates.
Nice-to-Have (Not Required):
- Experience building data pipelines with Python and SQL (Fivetran, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform).
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Google IT Support, Azure Administrator.
