Summary:

Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, a reputable law firm with over 300 attorneys, is seeking a full-time staff accountant to join their team in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have a , 1-2 years of experience in an accounting department, and proficiency in Excel and Word. The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000, and the firm offers equal employment opportunities to all applicants.

Position Responsibilities:

- Responsible for maintaining monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Analyze financial transactions and ensure proper posting in the general ledger
- Provide support to various areas of the accounting department
- Monitor the Accounting Support Helpline and assist clients, attorneys, and administrative assistants as needed
- Stay updated on acceptable accounting practices and procedures
- Assist with special projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting department preferred
- Experience with Aderant, Elite Enterprise, or other large automated accounting systems is a plus
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Customer service focused
- Able to sit for 8 hours per day at a personal computer
