Job Title: Experienced Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Docket and eFile in bankruptcy, federal, and state courts
- Draft correspondence and legal documents such as discovery shells, subpoenas, deposition notices, and affidavits
- Communicate with various parts of the court system and outside legal personnel regarding case details, deadlines, and procedures
- Assist with briefs and memoranda, including creating tables of authorities and tables of contents
- Operate Trial Director by uploading exhibits, uploading and clipping video depositions, and running the program during trials
- Utilize e-discovery document review platforms such as Relativity, DISCO, and Everlaw
- Experience with bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation is advantageous
- Order reports and records and monitor their status
- Schedule hearings and depositions
- Secure court reporters for depositions
- Handle confidential and time-sensitive materials
- Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorneys
- Assist lawyers during trials by handling exhibits and managing courtroom setup logistics
- Contact clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors regarding meetings and depositions
- Track progress and assignment status of open matters
- Prepare for legal hearings, trials, and client meetings
- Bates number and redact legal documents
- Create demonstrative exhibits
- Coordinate Service of Process
Education and Experience Information:
- Associate or bachelor's degree required
- A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and highly professional demeanor
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, and document management and project management systems, preferably Centerbase and NetDocuments
- Values and thrives in a team-based approach
- Excels in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment
- Has the technical skills necessary to quickly learn and implement new programs
- Understands technical legal terminology
- Highly organized with attention to detail
Salary Information:
- Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000
- Additional benefits include insurance, 401(k), life insurance, and free parking
