Job Title: Finance Product Owner

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain advanced functional knowledge of finance business processes related to assigned applications and systems.
- Define the vision, strategy, roadmap, and release plan for finance applications, including defining the minimum viable product for releases.
- Manage the finance product lifecycle from concept to decommissioning, including managing the product and release backlog.
- Understand and define customer problems, use cases, and value propositions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial systems with business objectives.
- Validate customer pain points and requirements while acting as the primary point of contact for all finance-related product inquiries and issues.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop business cases for product or service investment.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture in vendor selection and management to ensure alignment with product delivery strategy.
- Coordinate with UX to ensure design meets functional needs.
- Ensure traceability of requirements from stakeholders to product release.
- Partner with Change Management and Training teams to develop and implement a successful change management and training program.
- Solicit user feedback for product and delivery improvement.
- Collaborate with peers to determine resource needs on projects and sustaining teams.
- Conduct and participate in reviews for requirements, application design, testing strategy, and change control activities.
- Communicate status and change requests to stakeholders.
- Serve as the point of contact within the Application Services team to share overall customer needs, vision, and direction.
- Manage the product backlog, epics, user stories, iteration plans, and feature acceptance through Agile execution.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to develop acceptance criteria, sample data, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Provide inputs into end-user training, materials, and support.
- Prioritize features for releases based on agreed Critical Success Factors, including features and bug fixes.
- Make tradeoff decisions between scope and schedule within agreed constraints.

Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a law firm.
- Strong understanding of billing and accounting processes.
- Experience with financial software systems; Aderant experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Proficient in using product and requirements management tools like Azure DevOps.
- Proficient with Excel and other core Microsoft applications.
- Requires knowledge of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and must be able to execute within both Agile and Waterfall deliveries of the SDLC.
- Proficiency in analyzing software applications and assessing individual features and modules to determine fit for business purpose.
- Preferred experience in the legal industry.
- Preferred experience with Finance solutions.
- Preferred certifications: Product Owner Professional (PO).
