Job Responsibilities:
The paralegal position at the law firm involves supporting a minimum of four attorneys with a focus on litigation. Key responsibilities include:
- Calendaring and managing schedules for attorneys.
- Document management, which encompasses the review, creation, and organization of legal documents.
- Compiling information necessary for discovery responses, interrogatories, pleadings, motions, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of various legal documents and tasks.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates are required to have either a Bachelor’s degree or a Paralegal Certificate. The necessity of a certificate may vary depending on regional, state, or client-specific requirements.
- A minimum of three years of experience in litigation work is essential for this role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, is required. Strong Excel skills are particularly important.
- The role demands strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must be capable of working under tight deadlines and prioritizing responsibilities effectively.
- The ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours is necessary.
- This position includes an annual billable requirement of 1,600 hours.
