Law Firm Seeking Experienced Network Engineer in Andover, MA

Job Title: Network Engineer
Experience: 5+ years of experience in core infrastructure and web technologies, 5+ years with MS Windows Server system administration or application server support, and 2+ years of exposure to networking or security systems and concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Provision, integrate, and maintain critical systems used to support production, disaster recovery, and test environments.
- Work with senior network and security engineers on large-scale improvement projects.
- Assist with onboarding new clients by provisioning environments, configuring security, and integrating services.
- Provide production infrastructure support for a complex base of live clients.
- Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot systems with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Write basic SQL queries for light database administrative tasks.
- Support third party infrastructure applications and services.
- Adhere to technical standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with business and software teams to streamline and automate support processes.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting efforts.
- Participate in periodic weekend maintenance rotation.
Requirements:
- Operational experience on an infrastructure/systems administration team supporting mission critical production systems.
- Experience with Amazon AWS Network services, VMWare vSphere, and SAN operations.
- Competency with building and delivering high quality IT systems.
- Knowledge of network design and configuration, basic network architecture concepts, and network services.
- Strong understanding of network services such as DNS, DHCP, ARP, and TCP/IP stack.
- Experience with firewall configuration and collecting/analyzing packet captures.
- Basic understanding of dynamic routing protocols.
- Experience with Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, and Checkpoint a plus.
- Working knowledge of security, identity management, and vulnerability management tools.
- Experience with PowerShell and DevOps tools a plus.
- Practical experience with SSL/TLS certificates and basic cryptography concepts.
- Ability to aid with monthly vulnerability reviews and patch management.
- Good understanding of various Microsoft technologies.
- Experience with web/application server technologies a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in core infrastructure and web technologies.
- 5+ years with MS Windows Server system administration or application server support.
- 5+ years of experience in critical production environments.
- 2+ years exposure to networking or security systems and concepts.
Physical Qualifications:
- Ability to lift five pounds or greater.
- Ability to sit for 90% of the work day.
- Ability to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed.
- Ability to read and comprehend position specific documents and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
- Ability to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device.
- Ability to work a minimum of 40-hour flexible workweek schedule.
