Job Title: Data Analyst II

Job Responsibilities:
The Data Analyst II at the law firm is tasked with performing high-quality billable work to support clients and attorneys. This role involves a variety of data-related tasks under the direction of an attorney, without providing legal advice. Key responsibilities include:

- Drafting Damage Models to assess the gross damage exposure of specific claims, designing Excel reports and formulae for damage prediction, and collaborating with attorneys to manipulate data.
- Conducting Time Card Analysis to identify meal period violations and other insights, and performing “what if” analyses regarding penalties and overtime hours.
- Receiving confidential client data, performing quality control tests, and transforming diverse data formats into Excel for analysis.
- Checking modeling results for quality and generating data reports as needed.
- Analyzing payroll and time data to verify appropriate wage disbursement.
- Designing and manipulating Pay Plan Calculators based on commission and bonus criteria in pay plans or contracts, even without legal training.
- Creating and manipulating spreadsheets for business data analysis, such as profit and loss calculations related to cases.
- Managing deadlines and ensuring timely completion and progression of project steps.
- Interpreting client data to identify statistical trends through data aggregation, sorting, and statistical analyses.
- Collaborating with team members, attorneys, paralegals, and class action attorneys.
- Conducting statistical estimation and testing for adverse impacts in employer hiring, promotion, and termination processes.
- Utilizing linear and logistic regression modeling and hypothesis testing in preventative pay equity reviews.
- Identifying statistical trends in Human Resources data using Excel.
- Working with client data to identify statistical trends in employer selection.
- Engaging in general Excel work beyond the capabilities of an admin or word processor.
- Maintaining written and verbal contact with HR and legal professionals at Fortune 500 companies.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this position.
- Applicants should have 2-4 years of experience as a data analyst, with a preference for legal experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Professional Suite is essential.
- Experience with Python and Tableau is preferred.
- Other essential skills include critical thinking, problem-solving, multi-tasking, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience with billable time and cost capturing.

The hourly rate for the Data Analyst II position ranges from to . The actual base pay within this range will be determined based on several factors, including location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
