Job Title: Manager, Business Tax Services - Alternative Investments (Remote Option)
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee client portfolios of various sizes and scopes within the alternative investment fund industry, including private equity, real estate, and/or hedge funds.
- Act as the first point of contact for both internal and external clients, ensuring clear communication and effective management of client needs.
- Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
- Assess the tax impact on clients due to changes in rules and laws, develop tax arguments to support conclusions, and make informed recommendations to clients.
- Facilitate risk management and financial performance of engagements, which includes handling billing, collections, and budgeting for projects.
- Deliver high-quality tax services to clients, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with relevant regulations.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of five years of recent tax experience in the alternative investment industry is required.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is necessary.
- Candidates must be a Licensed CPA, EA, or hold a JD/LLM, or possess another designation on Company's approved credential listing. If an individual does not possess at least one of the approved designations upon employment commencement, they have one year from their date of hire to obtain it. A recruiter can provide the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line.
- Proficiency in the taxation of partnerships and tiered investment fund structures is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.
