Summary:

**Members Only**, a top 25 accounting firm, is seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Tax Services Partner to join our Tax Department in Providence, RI. This is a full-time, experienced level position that offers competitive compensation and benefits, as well as the flexibility to manage your personal and professional life. As a Commercial Tax Services Partner, you will be responsible for top-side/detail review of tax returns, providing effective consulting and compliance for clients, researching tax issues and identifying planning opportunities, and managing all aspects of client accounts. You will also work to expand the client base and display strong business development abilities, as well as participate in industry or service line-related organizations. This position requires a CPA, JD, or EA license, as well as 12+ years of public accounting experience and 7+ years of supervisory experience. The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000.

Responsibilities:

- Top-side/detail review of tax returns, tax workpapers and tax projections
- Possess strong technical skills in partnerships, C-corporations and S-corporations (knowledge in individual taxation a plus)
- Provide effective consulting, planning and compliance for your clients
- Research and document tax issues and identify planning opportunities
- Responsible for being the lead of the engagement team, and responsible for having direct contact with client and manage all aspects of client accounts
- Work to expand client base and display strong business development abilities
- Participate in industry or service line-related organizations
- Coordinates with team to ensure timeliness and effective communication for proper planning of project
- Mentor, train and supervise staff
- Maintaining knowledge of new tax laws and general business trends that affect the client
- Ensure the utilization of staff through director is at appropriate levels
- Ensure leveraging of work to appropriate levels
- Ensure firm policy and procedure is followed
- Be the “go-to” person for all complex tax questions before they are brought to national level
- Understand firm capabilities and know experts in each capability
- Create a collaborative culture where people feel respected
- Work with partners, directors and managers on coaching and mentoring of staff
- Integrate firm initiatives into the office and be part of the process to create them
- Monitor risk related to jobs, staff and/or management
- Develop and implement processes for efficiency
- Involve all levels in client communication and client meetings and ensure your partners, directors are doing the same

Qualifications:

- CPA, JD, or EA license required
- Masters of Tax or LLM preferred
- 12+ years of public accounting experience, including 7+ years of supervisory experience
- Top 25 accounting firm experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of managing multiple client engagements
- A track record of building and sustaining client relationships and high-quality client service
- Experience representing clients in front of the IRS and state agencies
- Highly motivated to succeed and be part of a high-performing team
- Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills
- Proficient with CCH Axcess, Sureprep, BNA Income Tax Planner, CCH AnswerConnect, RIA Checkpoint, XCM and Microsoft Office
