Job Title:
Senior Manager, Washington National Tax - Compensation and Benefits
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide compensation and benefits-related knowledge management, tax planning, and diligence including, but not limited to, executive compensation, equity arrangements, qualified plans, and employee benefits to a full range of clients (corporate, private equity), including major multinational clients.
- Work closely with other offices of the company to provide technical and practical recommendations.
- Liaise with other practice groups and member firms of the company globally.
- Formulate and review tax memoranda as well as tax opinions.
- Draft, research, prepare, and advise on private letter rulings.
- Instruct internal firm courses and author articles related to compensation and benefits; review articles and engage in other risk management activities.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of five years of recent significant compensation and benefits tax-related experience in an accounting firm, the Internal Revenue Service, corporation, and/or law firm.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
- Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, in addition to others on the company's approved credential listing. Any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials.
- Excellent advisory, research skills, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to pragmatically articulate complex information to colleagues and clients alike.
