Job Title: Director: Global Technology Services

Job Responsibilities:
The Director: Global Technology Services is a pivotal leadership role within the law firm, tasked with serving as the senior IT business partner and ensuring an outstanding IT experience for all lawyers and business professionals across the firm's global offices. Key responsibilities include:

- Partnering with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to define and advocate for the user experience within the global technology strategy.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior business leaders across all offices, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for IT services and capabilities.
- Ensuring the "Voice of the Client" is consistently integrated into IT service design, delivery, and decision-making to meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Overseeing the global delivery of all IT support services to ensure high availability, performance, security, and seamless user experience for lawyers and business professionals.
- Supporting the transformation of the IT function, empowering professionals to become valued business partners who proactively leverage technology to drive business outcomes.
- Championing operational excellence within IT, driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of client-centricity.
- Providing leadership and strategic direction for the service support desk to ensure efficient and effective resolution of IT issues.
- Establishing and monitoring service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and continuously improve service quality, availability, and user satisfaction.
- Implementing and managing a comprehensive service lifecycle management framework, encompassing all stages from service design to retirement.
- Managing the supplier ecosystem, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with the firm's IT strategy and service level requirements.
- Overseeing the Learning & Development function within IT to ensure teams have the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver exceptional service and successful adoption.
- Overseeing ServiceNow as a key platform for IT service management, automation, and workflow optimization.
- Mentoring and developing a high-performing, client-centric team of IT professionals across all regions, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Collaborating effectively with peer leaders across IT to ensure seamless integration of services, effective communication, and a consistent global approach to IT delivery.
- Providing regular reporting on key performance indicators, service levels, and budget utilization to senior leadership.
- Performing other duties as assigned or required to meet firm goals and objectives.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience is directly related to the functions of the job.
- A minimum of 15 years of professional IT experience is required.
- Demonstrated leadership experience is required.
- Experience in legal or professional services is required.

Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, software, and technologies, with the ability to understand and translate technical requirements into business terms.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects and programs, including planning, execution, and monitoring.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the firm and outside vendors.
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the firm.

Management Accountabilities:
- Manages processes for direct reports in regards to performance appraisals, annual compensation, goal setting, and performance counseling.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Operational budget analysis and recommendations.
- Conducts analysis of staffing levels and participates in the recruitment process.
- Able to determine and implement change processes to improve workflow efficiencies.
- Process- and service-oriented with strong leadership and project management skills.
- Able to set priorities and delegate in an efficient manner.

Salary Information:
The typical pay scale for this position varies by location:
- In Chicago: between $237,800 and $342,500.
- In Houston: between $240,300 and $346,000.
- In New York: between $250,900 and $361,300.
- In Washington, .: between $242,900 and $349,800.

The actual wage or salary could be lower or higher if the candidate’s education, experience, skills, and internal pay alignment differ from those specified.
