Job Title: Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize e-filing systems for New Jersey State and Federal courts to manage legal documents.
- Familiarize and comply with civil and arbitration procedures and filings.
- Maintain and manage attorneys' calendars, including planning and scheduling meetings, depositions, mediations, teleconferences, and travel arrangements.
- Communicate with external law firms to coordinate depositions and other necessary meetings.
- Proofread and finalize various legal documents such as correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, and prepare routine shell macros.
- Prepare and file pleading and discovery documents in consultation with attorneys.
- Open and close legal files as needed.
- Handle general correspondence with outside law firms, clients, and insurance carriers.
- Demonstrate strong document management and organizational skills.
- Record and track deadlines using docketing and calendar systems.
- Assist multiple attorneys throughout trial preparations.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must possess .
- High competency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and iManage document file system.
- Knowledge of e-filing systems and eDockets is essential.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
- Ability to multitask independently and demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 . to 5:00 .
