Job Title: Insurance Defense Paralegal - Trial Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- The paralegal will be responsible for preparing discovery responses and objections.
- Summarization of medical and other types of records is required.
- The candidate must have knowledge of trial deadlines and extensive knowledge of redaction procedures.
- The role requires an individual who is extremely organized and knowledgeable in drafting medical chronologies.
- Responsibilities include drafting non-party subpoenas and deposition subpoenas.
- The paralegal will be extensively involved in the preparation of trial binders and exhibits.
- Ability to assist with large document production is essential.
- Must utilize Adobe for electronic production issues and other litigation paralegal tasks.
- Proven ability to properly capture time and bill according to client guidelines is necessary.
Education and Experience Information:
- An associate degree or better in Paralegal Studies or a related field is required.
- The candidate must have at least 7 years of recent trial defense litigation experience.
- The position requires a Florida Registered Paralegal and NALA Certified Paralegal certification.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Typing speed must be at least 60 words per minute.
- The candidate must have knowledge of trial procedures, indicating this is not an entry-level position.
- Required behaviors include being dedicated, thought-provoking, a team player, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
