WLG, a highly respected personal injury law firm specializing in motor vehicle accidents, is looking for a City Managing Attorney to join our team in Chicago. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and lead a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Ensure efficient and effective operations of the firm's legal practice.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to attorneys and staff.
• Manage complex cases and high-profile clients.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and implement business goals.
• Develop and manage budgets and track performance indicators.
• Continuously assess and improve processes to optimize efficiency and profitability.
• Represent the firm in business development and networking opportunities.
• Stay updated on legal market trends and identify potential opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and ethical standards.
• Develop and enforce risk management protocols.
• Maintain the firm's core missions of excellence, integrity, and people-first mentality.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in Georgia, Illinois, or Texas.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience practicing law, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong understanding of legal ethics, compliance, and risk management.
• Proven ability to manage a team and achieve performance targets.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage competing priorities.
• Significant experience in personal injury law and/or large loss casualty litigation.
• Business development and client relationship management experience.
• Prior experience with law firm management and financial oversight.

Desired Experience:

• Extensive civil litigation experience, preferably in personal injury and commercial trucking cases.
• Defense litigation experience with direct interaction with claims management.

Physical Requirements:

• Office environment with normal business hours.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
• Traverse – Occasionally move about the office.
• Gross manipulation and fine manipulation – Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office machinery.
• Stair usage – May occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
• Move or transport – Occasionally move supplies or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech.

Salary Range:

$200,000 - $250,000 USD
