Job Title: Senior Contracts Specialist - Indirect Sourcing
Job Responsibilities:
- Review, prepare, and evaluate agreements prior to signature to ensure accuracy. Interpret and influence performance requirements, delivery obligations, timelines, costs, and payment schedules to minimize risk.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and other subject matter experts to validate contract content and resolve inconsistencies efficiently.
- Assess the need for legal review and engage Corporate Counsel or Vice President of Shared Services as required. Assist them by managing priorities and customer expectations.
- Support the Senior Manager, Contracts with complex contracting issues.
- Develop and conduct training on contract acumen and policies for new hires and stakeholders.
- Address inquiries from business stakeholders regarding contracting and compliance policies, procedures, risks, and contract status.
- Manage contract software reporting and develop a contractual content library of commonly used contract language, special terms, and conditions, along with client-specific requirements.
- Perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain tracking system accuracy.
- Manage contractual documents across all business platforms and lead weekly contracting status calls with business leaders.
- Oversee the contract administration email box, maintain templating documents, and manage the master contracting data repository for pending contracts.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Requires training in fields such as legal, business administration, grant/contract management, or similar vocations, generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree Program or Paralegal Certification.
- Requires five to seven years of direct experience in contracting and/or law firm experience.
- Working knowledge of reading, writing, and understanding the effect of contractual/legal terms and conditions.
- Experience in the healthcare industry consulting environment is preferred.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze, identify, and draft contractual language when sections are missing, with impeccable proofreading skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving ability and advanced analytical skills related to contract information and related matters.
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to evaluate risk, urgency, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong presentation skills and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of computers and software programs necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and SharePoint. Experience with iCertis is also preferred.
- Ability to offer and implement ideas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
Salary Information:
- The salary range is $72,200 - $103,290. This reflects a national average for this job, and the actual range may vary based on locale. Ranges in specific states may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
