Law Firm Seeks IP Docketing Specialist with 3+ Years of Experience
Duane Morris LLP, a global law firm with 800+ attorneys, is seeking an experienced IP Docketing Specialist to join our Intellectual Property Practice Group. In this role, you will provide docketing support for patent and trademark matters, ensuring timely and accurate management of deadlines and documents.
Key Responsibilities:
Calendaring patent and trademark application dates
Downloading and filing electronic correspondence from USPTO and foreign patent offices
Distributing incoming correspondence to appropriate attorney teams
Preparing docket reports
Monitoring deadlines and taking necessary actions
Opening and closing matters in docketing database
Assisting with new client intakes and transfers
Participating in IP practice group and docketing team meetings
Providing backup support to other docketers as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma
At least 3 years of prior IP docketing or related work experience
Thorough understanding of domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution and lifecycles
Familiarity with various patent and trademark offices
Knowledge of docketing terminology, best practices, and patent & trademark laws
Experience with docketing databases, preferably Patricia
Proficiency in navigating patent and trademark office websites
Strong computer skills and attention to detail
