- **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., a national law firm, is seeking a full-time Project Assistant to join their Real Estate Litigation department in their Dallas office.
- This position will involve assisting attorneys in representing condemning authorities and landowners in Texas, with a focus on property acquisition through eminent domain or defending landowners against government acquisition for infrastructure needs.
- The role will consist of both non-billable administrative tasks and billable work.
- Responsibilities include editing and proofreading legal documents, preparing form documents, maintaining checklists and spreadsheets, drafting and formatting legal correspondence, tracking case progress, and conducting internet research to support litigation.
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business, finance, real estate, or related fields, and a minimum of three years of litigation experience.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
- The ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and deadlines is also required.

Responsibilities for Project Assistant - Real Estate Litigation at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. in Dallas, TX:
- Edit and proofread legal documents.
- Assist in the preparation of form documents.
- Maintain checklists and spreadsheets for the condemnation team.
- Draft and format legal correspondence.
- Track case progress throughout the condemnation timeline, ensure delivery of statutorily required mailings, and coordinate and schedule hearing dates, including Special Commissioners’ Hearings.
- Assist in document productions, including compiling, bates labeling, redacting as necessary, and serving same.
- Create and maintain electronic and paper client files and indexes for real estate litigation professionals, including routine filing.
- Perform general office and administrative duties such as collating and assembling documents, accepting and delivering correspondence, photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
- Conduct internet research to support litigation and case preparation.
- Update correspondence files, create and maintain pleading boards, prepare witness notebooks and binders, assemble trial exhibits, and organize records chronologically for hearings, trials and depositions.
- Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.

- Ability to handle up to 50 active cases, requiring strong time management, discretion, and collaboration in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, photocopiers, scanners, etc.
- Ability to understand legal terminology relating to condemnation and general litigation matters.
- Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position and may require irregular hours.
