The Law Firm of Ogletree Deakins is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Associate to join our expanding Labor & Employment practice in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $185,000 to $220,000, depending on experience and location. Remote work is available for non-shareholder-track attorneys residing outside of Seattle and Portland, including those in California.

Responsibilities
- Assist senior associates and shareholders in litigation and have extensive contact with client representatives and opposing counsel.
- Investigate the underlying facts of a case, draft and respond to discovery requests, draft discovery motions, and prepare witnesses.
- Provide compliance advice on complex workplace safety issues, litigate rulemakings, and perform training for clients.
- Attend occasional travel as needed.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of OSH laws and regulations.
- Contribute to the firm's commitment to diversity and mutual respect in the workplace.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor and active license to practice law in Oregon or Washington, or willing to relocate to the Pacific Northwest.
- 5+ years of litigation experience, with preference for workplace safety experience.
- Excellent academic credentials, including being in the top 20% of law school class.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Willingness to occasionally travel for work.

As a full-time associate, you will have the opportunity to work with our senior associates and shareholders on OSH litigation, providing compliance advice, and performing training for clients. This position offers a competitive salary range of $185,000 to $220,000 and the option for remote work for non-shareholder-track attorneys residing outside of Seattle and Portland.
