Job Title: Business Development Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
The Business Development Specialist at the law firm plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth by supporting strategic marketing and business development initiatives within the Corporate BD team. The primary focus is on the M&A and Private Equity, Capital Markets, Compensation & Benefits, and Tax practice groups. This position involves collaborating with colleagues across the firm to deliver impactful business development support to the Corporate business unit and ensuring alignment with broader firm priorities. Key responsibilities include:

- Business Development Execution: Supporting thought leadership campaigns, maintaining data accuracy, and assisting with technology-driven BD initiatives across the Corporate business unit.
- Practice Group Support: Assisting with strategic BD activities such as pitches, event coordination, client targeting, lateral integration, and marketing collateral.
- Collaboration & Delivery: Working independently and within cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, timely execution of deliverables.
- Team Engagement: Actively participating in team meetings, contributing to planning discussions, and supporting the evaluation and implementation of new tools and technologies.
- Professional Growth: Strengthening project management capabilities through firm-sponsored training and self-directed learning.

Education and Experience Information:
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of marketing or business development experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
- Education: A four-year college degree or equivalent experience is required, with a preference for disciplines such as marketing, business, communications, English, or other related fields.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to balance competing needs and continually prioritize tasks is essential.
- Time Management: Efficiently managing time to balance various responsibilities and adapt to shifting priorities is crucial.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complex information effectively, are required.
- Project Coordination: The ability to assist in planning and organizing projects with attention to detail and a focus on efficiency is necessary.
- Team Collaboration: A positive, team-first attitude and the ability to work effectively with team members are important.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation is encouraged.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with firm marketing systems such as Foundation and InTapp Deal Cloud is required; proficiency with generative AI tools is preferred.
- Content Support: Excellent copywriting and editing skills, along with an understanding of digital publishing and content creation, are a plus.
- Subject-Matter Knowledge: Familiarity with issues related to project finance, infrastructure development, and/or public/private partnerships is a plus.

Salary Information:
The expected salary range for the Business Development Specialist position varies based on location and other job-related factors. The ranges are as follows:

- California Major Markets: $71,000 - $93,000
- New York City: $74,000 - $93,000
- National: $69,000 - $86,000

The level of pay within the range will depend on qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, and geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, determined by the firm's and individual performance.
