Job Responsibilities
The Litigation Paralegal at the law firm will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks related to litigation and trial work, specifically focusing on Plaintiff’s personal injury cases. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing complex personal injury cases for Plaintiffs in both State and Federal Courts
- Proficient use of PACER and E-filing systems
- Collecting and reviewing medical records
- Resolving liens with Medicare and Medicaid
- Managing discovery and eDiscovery processes
- Preparing for trial, including trial preparation and attendance
- Creating presentations for mediation
- Managing expert witnesses
- Communicating effectively with clients
- Demonstrating a strong command of PowerPoint, Excel, and various document and case management systems
Education and Experience Information
Candidates for the Litigation Paralegal position should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience handling complex personal injury cases for Plaintiffs. While a paralegal degree or an undergraduate degree is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. Trial experience is also preferred.
Salary Information
Compensation for the Litigation Paralegal role includes a base salary commensurate with experience, along with bonus opportunities. Additional benefits include a 401(k) with profit sharing, medical insurance, and generous paid time off (PTO).
