Job Title: Specialist, Business Development - Energy, Power & Infrastructure

Job Responsibilities:

The Business Development Specialist in the Energy, Power & Infrastructure (EPI) sector at the law firm is responsible for supporting the firm's business development and client relationship-building activities. The role involves working closely with partners and other lawyers within the EPI industry group. The Specialist will collaborate with various practice groups, including finance, tax, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), real estate, capital markets, and litigation, on matters related to conventional and renewable power, transmission, oil & gas, transportation infrastructure, and data centers and digital infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

- Strategic management and review of content development for targeted presentations, proposals, and pitch materials
- Managing complex pitch requests and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Drafting and submitting content for legal directories, awards, and industry guides such as Chambers, Legal 500, and IFLR
- Managing print and digital marketing materials to ensure they reflect the firm's substantive strengths, accomplishments, and current activities
- Overseeing the league table process and relationships to ensure effective and timely submissions
- Maintaining matter databases for precedent, marketing, and business development purposes
- Monitoring and evaluating business development efforts and initiatives within the EPI space
- Preparing and maintaining competitive analysis, including analyzing clients' and competitors' market trends, leveraging industry research, and using news databases like S&P Capital IQ, LSEG, Bloomberg, Prospect News, and Pitchbook
- Identifying, planning, and managing sponsorship of and participation in select conferences and industry events
- Collaborating with the public relations and marketing teams to promote the industry group internally and externally

Education and Experience:

- A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a preference for degrees in Finance, Business, or Marketing.
- Candidates should have 3-6 years of experience in business development and marketing at a law firm or professional services firm or experience related to energy and infrastructure.

Salary Information:

The expected base salary for the Business Development Specialist position ranges from $100,000 to $125,000. Salary offers are determined by a variety of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. The law firm offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
