Communications Specialist - Awards: Responsible for creating persuasive and engaging submissions for various editorial awards for DLA Piper, a leading law firm in the US. This role requires collaboration with lawyers and colleagues to develop narratives that highlight firm achievements and innovations.
Location: This position can sit in any of our US offices and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research of targeted awards, including criteria and previous winners
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information for submissions
- Write compelling narratives that showcase the value and impact of submitted work
- Edit and refine submissions to ensure clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness
- Manage timelines for submission deadlines and maintain a database of potential awards
- Build relationships with industry contacts for insights and tips on successful submissions
Desired Skills:
- Strong writing and editing skills with a passion for storytelling
- Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Understanding of awards submission process
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years in marketing, public relations, or similar field.

Salary Information: The expected hiring range for this position is per hour, depending on location. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and will receive overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws.
