Practice Assistant - Asset Finance (Hybrid) - New York Location
The law firm is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Practice Assistant to join their Asset Finance department in their New York office. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $42/hr - $63/hr and an excellent benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate professionally with clients, lawyers, and coworkers through various channels.
- Create, draft, format, edit, proofread and manage various documents and correspondence.
- Schedule domestic and foreign travel arrangements.
- Process reimbursements, invoices, and check requests.
- Assist with conflict checks and opening new client matters.
- Learn and apply client-specific billing guidelines.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and coordinate mailings and deliveries.
- Complete work requests from lawyers in a timely manner.
- Perform filing and document management tasks.
- Assist with time entry, billing, and collection.
- Operate independently to complete assignments accurately and efficiently.
- Perform clerical duties for non-legal departments as needed.
- Take on special projects and assignments as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
- Familiarity with document management systems and electronic signature software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong writing and proofreading abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 4-5 years of experience supporting lawyers and paralegals with administrative tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Moderate to advanced keyboard usage.
