Job Title: Commercial Underwriting Counsel (Remote)
Job Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Underwriting Counsel at the company, you will be responsible for driving the development of a new, end-to-end operational process for title transactions. This involves working on a remote team using technology and virtual communication to manage all technical aspects of a commercial title transaction, from underwriting to post-closing, with significant operational support. Your role will also include using data to drive decision-making and continual process improvements. You will be expected to execute tasks independently while keeping the team informed, work effectively in ambiguous situations by seeking clarity, and have a process-oriented mindset.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Commercial Underwriting Counsel position are required to have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and be admitted to the bar in at least one US state. The role requires a general understanding of underwriting regional or national commercial real estate transactions for the issuance of title insurance policies, along with 5-10 years of title underwriting experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a successful history of managing and serving customers.
Salary Information:
The pay range for the Commercial Underwriting Counsel role is between $95, and $127,. This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Compensation is based on a number of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location. The company also offers competitive compensation, an annual performance-based bonus, and long-term incentive plans.
