Privacy Counsel Position Overview:
TransUnion is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Privacy Counsel to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with US privacy laws and regulations, as well as developing and implementing privacy policies and procedures. You will work closely with various internal functions and have the opportunity to build relationships and become a trusted business partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, update, and review privacy notices, policies, and procedures as needed
- Stay up-to-date on the changing landscape of US privacy laws and regulations, including new state privacy laws in Colorado and Virginia
- Collaborate with various internal functions to advance and mature the privacy program
- Communicate complex legal concepts and persuade senior business leaders to adopt different viewpoints
- Develop and maintain a professional network
- Conduct privacy training as needed
- Maintain a high level of ethics and integrity in professional matters
Qualifications:
- . and at least 3 years of relevant privacy experience as a licensed US attorney
- Strong understanding of US privacy and data protection laws, such as CCPA, COPPA, BIPA, and HIPPA
- Familiarity with marketing and ad tech
- Ability to anticipate potential objections and effectively communicate difficult legal concepts
- Experience implementing privacy laws in financial services or other highly regulated industries preferred
- IAPP CIPP or similar certification a plus

Salary Information:
The base salary range for this position is $100,100 - $150,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, location, and industry knowledge.
