Japan Patent Specialist at Law Firm
Job Description:
- Provide consultation to clients on intellectual property (IP) matters in Japan
- Analyze clients' inventions and advise on ways to protect them under Japanese law
- Help clients choose a Japanese law firm and facilitate communication with them
- Manage and analyze IP cases, patent portfolios, and draft patent applications for clients in Japan
- Prepare infringement and validity analyses
- Conduct technical interviews with both . and Japanese clients
- Perform patent searches in the Japan Patent Office
- Prepare patent cases for presentation before the USPTO and Japanese Patent Office
Requirements:
- Admission to Japan Patent Office
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering, physics, or material science
- Minimum of 60 months experience in the job offered
- Willingness to travel to Asia

- Perform patent searches in the Japan Patent Office to gather information for clients' cases
- Package patent cases for presentation before the USPTO and Japanese Patent Office
Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering, physics, or material science
