Job Title: Medicaid Specialist II

Job Responsibilities:
The Medicaid Specialist II is tasked with facilitating the approval of an individual's Medicaid application for long-term care assistance. The role involves working closely with clients to ensure smooth processing and submission of their Medicaid applications. Key responsibilities include:

- Strategic Medicaid eligibility planning and managing a caseload of 20-40 applicants.
- Facilitating the onboarding of new clients by reviewing their Intake Questionnaire, completing financial calculations, and conducting the client Intake call.
- Assessing the applicant’s household and financial situation to identify the best path to eligibility.
- Overseeing all client requests and ensuring timely responses to client needs and questions.
- Collaborating with clients and team members to develop and implement a comprehensive eligibility strategy.
- Conducting state and county-specific research related to Medicaid application procedures.
- Collecting required Medicaid documents from clients in various electronic formats (., PDFs, JPEGs).
- Completing forms, drafting documents, and submitting necessary application paperwork.
- Scheduling appointments using Google Calendar.
- Delegating and managing tasks for the Administrative Assistant.
- Communicating directly with Medicaid agencies and caseworkers.
- Following company policies to ensure secure transmission of client information.
- Attending weekly team meetings to stay informed about processes and procedures.

Education and Experience Information:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience and knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and long-term care benefits are strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with Medicaid application filing and processing is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Medicaid fair hearing proceedings is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Medicaid guidelines and timetables is important.
- Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
- Experience with understanding financial statements, financial assets, and bank statements is strongly preferred, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills are essential for client interactions.
- A resourceful and proactive problem solver.
- Ability to work well within a team to promote company initiatives.
