Job Title: PIP Paralegal/Legal Secretary – Part-Time or Full-Time
Job Responsibilities:
The PIP Paralegal/Legal Secretary is responsible for managing all aspects of PIP Arbitration files and litigation. Key duties include filing post-treatment appeals for medical providers and filing PIP Arbitrations through Forthright. The candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding of all relevant New Jersey PIP laws and rules. Additional responsibilities include handling telephone calls, managing incoming and outgoing mail and email, scheduling and managing calendars, conducting initial client intakes, preparing legal documents and correspondence, performing E-Court filings, and scanning and preparing documents. The role may also involve handling overflow work in areas such as personal injury, worker’s compensation, real estate, matrimonial, criminal defense, municipal court, wills and estates, and transactional matters.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in PIP Arbitration. While not required, being bilingual in English and Spanish is considered a bonus. The candidate should exhibit strong organizational, communication, and case management skills. The position requires an in-person presence at the office, working full-time from Monday to Friday (9 am to 5 pm), or part-time days as agreed upon.
