Job Title: Manager, Client Development (Litigation)

Job Responsibilities:
The Client Development Manager plays a crucial leadership role, focusing on client-focused strategies and fostering a sophisticated marketing and business development environment within the law firm. The primary responsibilities include:

- Conceptualizing, initiating, and supporting client relationship-building activities to institutionalize the firm’s client base and enhance revenue.
- Developing business development plans for primary and sub-practices.
- Collaborating with partners to implement personal business development plans and expand networks.
- Tracking and providing monthly updates on business development activities and successes, including win/loss ratios and networking investments.
- Designing and implementing cross-business unit and cross-geography business development initiatives, such as client teams and broader initiatives.
- Participating in networking opportunities to generate new business.
- Overseeing research and competitive intelligence activities for key clients and prospects, in collaboration with the Market & Competitive Intelligence leader.
- Preparing responses to RFPs/RFIs and daily pitch requests, working alongside the Director of Business Development and Pricing and Project Management team.
- Ensuring the integration of lateral associates and partners with the BD Director.
- Identifying and prioritizing key organizations and events for practice participation.
- Developing and managing budgets for practice-related marketing memberships, sponsorships, and hosted events.
- Negotiating contracts, speaking slots, and related benefits.
- Developing targeted invitee mailing lists and reporting on RSVPs and networking connections.
- Attending events, assisting attorneys in making connections, and reporting on return on investment.
- Working with the Integrated Marketing Manager to maintain compelling and up-to-date practice descriptions, data sheets, web content, and other marketing materials.
- Ensuring appropriate details are captured in the experience management system for matter tracking activities.
- Managing the review and submission of data for relevant league tables and deal listings, analyzing published results for practice leaders, and developing client/prospect communications based on results.
- Coaching lawyers on business development, focusing on practical, effective deliverables and tracking results.
- Collaborating with the firm’s Communications team to create strategic submissions for practice-related and attorney rankings, surveys, and awards.
- Developing and implementing public relations strategies with Communications leaders to enhance media exposure and visibility.

Education and Experience:
- A minimum of a BA, BS, or equivalent degree is required.
- A total of 8+ years of progressive experience in practice management, business development, or marketing, ideally in an AmLaw 100 or other large professional services firm.
- At least 2+ years of experience as a manager is preferred.
- Experience in financial services litigation client development is preferred.
- Strong project management, process implementation, data, and budgeting skills are essential.
- Superior communication skills, including strong writing and editorial skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with InterAction, Microsoft Dynamics, or other CRM tools and databases is a plus.

Salary Information:
The target salary range varies by location and is commensurate with relevant experience:
- New York: $120, - $170,
- Boston & Washington DC: $115, - $165,
- Philadelphia: $115, - $155,
