Job Title: Attorney Recruiting Onboarding Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:
The Attorney Recruiting Onboarding Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and exceptional onboarding experience for newly hired attorneys at the law firm. The coordinator is a key contact for candidates, hiring partners, and internal business teams, and is responsible for coordinating the entire onboarding and integration process for lateral non-member attorneys and patent agents. The main responsibilities include:

- Organizing all pre-arrival logistics for lateral attorneys and managing the onboarding process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth experience for new attorneys.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for newly hired attorneys.
- Coordinating introductions and arrival information to relevant office administrators and teams, collaborating with administrative departments on onboarding and integrating new hires, including coordinating new associate integration activities.
- Handling conflicts and background checks, onboarding paperwork, and the Workday process.
- Developing and disseminating information to new hires about the firm, onboarding timeline, IT equipment, benefits, and more.
- Coordinating Lateral Link assignments and programs.
- Organizing check-ins for new hires.
- Managing payment of placement fees, stipends, and bonuses.
- Tracking offer/hire information, progress, reporting results, and documenting lessons learned from each integration.
- Meeting deadlines and making process efficiency recommendations as the subject matter expert.
- Ensuring compliance with all processes and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Proactively identifying process improvements and challenging the status quo to enhance integration and retention.
- Mentoring junior team members and providing training.
- Maintaining records in viRecruit and Workday, updating as needed.

Education and Experience Information:
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least two years of professional recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services is strongly preferred.
- The candidate should have outstanding organizational, communication (written and verbal), and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of the attorney recruiting process and legal employment issues is essential.
- The ability to set priorities, work independently, and handle a variety of duties effectively under time constraints is necessary.
- An understanding of unconscious bias and its effect on recruiting and hiring is important.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with different levels of firm personnel and external clients are required.
- Superior analytical, attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills are needed.
- The candidate should be highly motivated and creative with the ability to make sound business decisions.
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion is crucial.
- Proficiency with MS Office and applicant tracking systems, preferably Workday and LawCruit/viRecruit, is required.

Salary Information:
The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors, including the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:

- San Francisco and Silicon Valley: - per hour
- Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: - per hour
- Salt Lake City and all other locations: - per hour

The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. A highly competitive salary and benefits package is offered.
