Job Title: Sanctions Compliance Analyst

Job Responsibilities:
The Sanctions Compliance Analyst at the law firm will have a range of responsibilities focused on ensuring compliance with sanctions regulations. Key duties include:

- Conducting sanctions checks on new and existing clients and third parties using Refinitiv World-Check software and related applications in accordance with the firm's Sanctions Compliance Policy.
- Reviewing and resolving search results from the Conflicts New Business and Accounts Payable departments, using judgment to differentiate true matches from false positives.
- Escalating potential issues to the firm's General Counsel and National Security practice group as appropriate.
- Monitoring World-Check Alert updates to sanctions lists and reviewing and escalating as necessary for final resolution.
- Conducting factual research to verify the identity of names submitted through the firm's new matter intake, payments, and other workflow systems.
- Ensuring that the sanctions status of clients and third parties is accurately reflected in the World-Check Case Manager system.
- Addressing sanctions-related queries and requests from firm personnel at all levels and locations, escalating to the National Security practice when needed and responding where appropriate.
- Participating in projects aimed at developing and improving the firm's sanctions compliance process and training personnel.
- Maintaining current knowledge of relevant regulations and demonstrating a commitment to attending continuing education and certification programs to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is considered a plus.
- A minimum of two years of sanctions compliance experience in a law firm or financial institution is required.
- Experience with Refinitiv World-Check software is required.
- Familiarity with Intapp conflicts, Elite financial, and ServiceNow workflow software is a plus.
- At least two years of database research experience using Lexis/Nexis and other tools is advantageous.
- ACAMS Global Sanctions Specialist certification is a plus.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Windows-based software are required.

Salary Information:
The salary ranges for the Sanctions Compliance Analyst position vary depending on the location of employment. The ranges are as follows:

- New York, San Francisco, Palo Alto: $80,000 to $118,000
- Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, Washington, .: $74,000 to $111,000
- Denver: $69,000 to $103,000

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The salary range may vary based on factors such as local market data, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.
