Job Title: Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in drafting estate planning documents.
- Schedule appointments and manage the attorney's calendar.
- Perform various administrative duties as required.
- Ensure outstanding attention to detail in all tasks.
- Maintain excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Engage in problem-solving activities as needed.
- Establish and maintain direct client contact.
- Work independently under the supervision of an attorney.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Knowledge of TABS and Form-Builder computer programs is considered a plus.
- Have available transportation for delivering and collecting documents at the Courthouse and/or locally.
Education and Experience Information:
- Proficiency in legal document preparation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in administrative assistance.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in MS Office and legal software.
- Paralegal certification or relevant degree is considered a plus.
