Job Title: Paralegal - Personal Injury
Job Responsibilities:
The law firm is seeking a full-time, experienced paralegal to join its team. The candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the realm of personal injury litigation. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and analyzing documents such as medical records and other pertinent information.
- Drafting legal documents including Bill of Particulars, Summons and Complaints, and responses to demands.
- Preparing for trial and possessing a working knowledge of NY No-Fault law.
- Coordinating with medical providers, clients, opposing law firms, and courts to facilitate smooth legal proceedings.
- Managing court calendars efficiently.
- Communicating effectively with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.
- Conducting legal research and performing analysis on case issues.
- Performing additional duties as required by the firm to ensure the successful handling of cases.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the paralegal role must meet certain educational and experience prerequisites:
- The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
- A Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree is required. Furthermore, possessing a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
- The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to multi-task and prioritize work efficiently.
- Proficiency in E-Filing, Excel, Microsoft, and basic office equipment is required.
Salary Information:
The position offers a salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 per year, with the final amount being commensurate with the candidate's experience. In addition to the salary, the position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
