Job Title: Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze legal resources, including codes, statutes, regulations, and decisions, to assist in preparing case materials.
- Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery.
- Collaborate with clients to prepare discovery responses.
- Analyze and summarize medical records, and prepare medical chronologies.
- Track and manage discovery deadlines and litigation calendars.
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
- Maintain strong, ongoing communication with clients to ensure they feel heard and supported.
- Keep detailed records in the firm’s case management system, with Filevine experience being a plus.
- Prepare outlines and exhibits for depositions, mediation, and trial.
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination and exhibit management.
- Negotiate medical liens and unpaid bills after settlement.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in personal injury, with a preference for 5 years.
- A college degree or completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program, or equivalent years of real litigation experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with Spanish bilingual ability being a plus.
- Strong emotional intelligence and adaptability, with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Self-directed with high integrity and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with Filevine experience being a plus.
- Passionate about helping people and working in a client-first environment.
