Job Title: End User Computing Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
The End User Computing Engineer is tasked with designing and engineering solutions that bolster end user computing. This encompasses the Operating System, Application Delivery, patch management, and application updates. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating, managing, and maintaining standard builds/images, and the build/image creation process for end-user devices.
- Engineering packages and deployments of End User device software through Microsoft Endpoint Manager & JAMF.
- Managing and administering Microsoft Endpoint Manager & JAMF.
- Automating and improving processes within the current End User computing environment.
- Acting as the main point of contact for centralized configuration and patch management.
- Implementing and managing Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Serving as a resource on projects such as new hardware images, Windows, Mac, and Office upgrades, and other updates to software on End User devices.
- Coordinating with multiple teams and departments to implement, maintain, and enhance a common end user device experience.
- Acting as a technical escalation point, researching complex technical problems, identifying, implementing, and communicating technical fixes.
- Assisting and training Technical Support Analysts and other IT staff on troubleshooting and resolving End User computing issues.
- Partnering/collaborating with application and security teams to develop a secure technical environment.
- Automating tasks through scripting.
- Maintaining high standards in the delivery of End User computing services.
- Developing a deep understanding of industry trends and competitive advantages.
- Maintaining current and thorough knowledge of modern technologies.
- Creating and maintaining documentation with a detailed focus.
- Working independently and under the supervision of the Systems Director.
- Planning for and implementing disaster recovery/business continuity solutions.
- Working with third-party vendors and outside consultants as business needs require.
- Performing other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or another relevant field, or equivalent direct related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of enterprise-level experience managing endpoints in a corporate environment with 500+ users, including Microsoft and iOS operating system application deployment, configuration, and management.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) certification is required.
- Additional technical certifications (., M365 EAE, AZ-Admin) are preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager & JAMF, VDI, MacOS, iOS, Android, Windows 11 deployment and management, modern management approaches such as Windows Autopilot and Apple Business Manager, Zero Trust principles, endpoint security solutions, Group Policy (GPO) administration, Microsoft Intune, and managing Microsoft 365 services and applications.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of conditional access policies and device compliance.
- Experience supporting remote/hybrid work environments.
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational abilities, ability to prioritize and follow up on open issues and projects with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business, including peers, technical management, and/or external vendors.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position in Colorado is $69,375 to $115,625 annually. A discretionary bonus may be available based on performance. Offers of employment consider a candidate’s education, training, experience, work location, external market, internal value, seniority, and merit systems, and internal pay alignment.
Work Environment:
The work environment is a professional office atmosphere involving sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing for prolonged periods. Physical Requirements:
