Personal Injury Defense Paralegal Responsibilities: Professionally written work product, concisely explains what matters most and why -- for audiences that will include clients, courts, and litigant counsel. Evaluation of claim needs in line with goals, and communication and supervision of investigation process. Interact with client contacts for information, document, and witness information gathering, evaluation, and assessment as bears on investigation and discovery process and resolution strategies. Written discovery preparation and compliance supervision -- internal and external. Witness interaction for critical information gathering, and deposition process. Medical record interpretation, evaluation, and summarization of contents as matters to critical liability, damages, and discovery issues. Discovery and substantive motion support, such as drafting and preparing, as commensurate with skill set.

Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's degree; paralegal certificate preferred. Must have 2+ years of New York State litigation experience, personal injury claims required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Legal Research (Lexis, Westlaw) proficiency preferred. Medical Record interpretation and summaries are preferred.
