Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Billing Specialist at the law firm is responsible for managing all aspects of client billing for assigned Billing Attorneys. This includes preparing complex multipayor, joint, and split billing while handling a large volume of client billing across multiple locations. The role involves performing full-cycle billing functions such as reviewing time entries, processing edits, and preparing and posting final bills for the monthly billing cycle. The specialist is expected to be highly organized and detail-oriented, ensuring quality work across the team and encouraging collaborative behavior. Additionally, the role includes delivering training on policies and procedures, providing recommendations to improve billing processes, and mentoring Billing Specialists and Assistants. The specialist serves as the initial point of escalation for situations requiring the authority of a Billing Supervisor.

Education and Experience Information:
The position prefers candidates with a four-year undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, though equivalent work experience is also acceptable. A minimum of 3+ years of law firm billing experience is required, preferably within a global law firm or professional services environment. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with internal and external contacts at all levels. Strong technology skills, including proficiency in the MS Office Suite, are necessary, along with experience in leveraging technology for work processes. Familiarity with billing software such as Aderant or Elite is preferred.
