Job Title:
Client Special Arrangements Analyst (Biller / Collector)

Job Responsibilities:
The Client Special Arrangements Analyst is tasked with managing the comprehensive client accounting process for a set group of high-volume and complex billing partners. This includes the entire billing and collections cycle, ensuring accurate and timely invoice distribution, effective collection efforts, and proper financial reporting within the law firm's accounting system. The analyst must understand client contractual agreements and partner relationships to identify trends and issues affecting profitability and fee arrangements. Additional responsibilities include:
- Managing work-in-progress (WIP), accounts receivable (AR), trust, and unallocated funds for assigned partners.
- Coordinating with the Intake team to ensure timely matter openings and resolving any related delays.
- Monitoring new clients and matters for compliance with billing guidelines and working with the Pricing team on invoice formats, discount arrangements, and rate settings.
- Collaborating with attorneys and practice group leaders to address billing requirements and issues with delinquent or partial billing.
- Utilizing the firm's collections software to monitor outstanding accounts and working with the Collections team on invoices aged over 60 days.
- Supporting the firm’s electronic billing systems and communicating needs and issues to the eBilling team.
- Analyzing financial data to recommend billing solutions and contribute to billing strategy improvements.
- Educating attorneys on alternative fee arrangements (AFAs) and supporting their implementation.
- Resolving complex billing and collections inquiries efficiently and professionally.
- Mentoring and training junior billing team members to promote development and process consistency.

Education and Experience Information:
The minimum educational requirement is an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with a preference for prior experience in a law firm or legal industry. An in-depth knowledge of electronic billing systems and best practices is expected, alongside strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. The candidate should have demonstrated experience in supporting the training and adoption of new billing technologies and systems, strong analytical skills, and a data-driven approach to identifying process improvements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required. The candidate must also have the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to work professionally across teams and with diverse stakeholders.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $85,000, depending on experience level and geographic location.

Other Requirements:
The position involves extensive use of a computer and telephone, as well as printing, copying, faxing, and scanning equipment. Physical requirements include occasional sitting, standing, talking, seeing, and hearing. The mental requirements involve effective verbal and written communication with a diverse group of people. The work environment may expose the employee to weather conditions while traveling, with a moderate noise level typical in the work environment.
